Algae Infested Pools

If you have owned a pool or know someone who does you have more than likely heard of algae. Algae is a common muticellular organism that is very closely related to plants, but know matter what it is , we do not like it in our pools. If a pool does get infested with algae however, here are some simple steps to help rid you of this nasty problem. First make sure your water is properly balanced. One of the most common mistakes when treating a pool is not getting it balanced first. By balancing your pool first you allow for the second step which is oxidization. Oxidizers come in many forms, but the best oxidizer for a chlorine or salt pool is 78 % Poolife Turbo Shock. It is the strongest chlorine oxidizer on the market today. For a pool using a biguinide the best oxidizer is Baquacil Shock and Oxidizer. This a very strong shock and with the proper amount will eliminate algae blooms. After this step your pool may be milky and could even be clear. If milky you may need to add a flocculant which if used properly will drop the dead algae to the pool's floor, which can then be vacuumed to waste. If you you take these simple steps you can turn your pool from green to clean in just a few steps.
